On my December 7th post I mentioned my favorite Christmas song is “Linus and Lucy” from “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. Now technically it’s not really a Christmas song, it’s really more what would be considered the theme song of all the
Charlie Brown specials. Since “A Charlie Brown Christmas” was my favorite as a kid this song really reminded me of Christmas whenever I heard it. My other favorite is “Christmastime Is Here”. Actually I just downloaded the whole album to my iPhone. Hey, here is another fun fact about my Christmas experiences - I’ve never seen “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.

Love Charlie Brown. You’ll have to check out my Peanuts display when you stop by during the progressive dinner. The “Grinch” is Tom’s favorite. I can hook you up with a DVD if you would like to borrow it, or maybe you should watch with Tom. I’m laughing just thinking about Max, the Grinch’s dog. (We have one of those sitting out too)

I love that piano piece! It just makes me happy when I hear it. A couple of years ago, I won a Snoopy stuffed toy that plays “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” in the style of that song! He sits under our tree now!

What?! How could you have NEVER seen the Grinch? How did you get out of that one after all of these years??

Okay, that brings up my favorite line in the GRINCH MOVIE (not cartoon). In describing the WHO’S in Whoville the Grinch cries, “Suffering Snarkleblatz, they’re relentless!” And the reason I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it is because it makes me think of the devil describing the Body of Christ!!! Especially here at our hometown Living Word River Valley! We are RELENTLESS for the things of God! Merry Christmas to my whole church family! I love you all! And whatever you do - do it all to the Glory of God!

I love that tune, but everytime I hear that I always see that one kid in the back doing that Egyptian dance! FUNNY… I like the grinch too, but Jim kinda put it over the top. Max is great…

I was just telling Monica the other day that my favorite Christmas songs of all time were the Charlie Brown Christmas songs. It’s actually on my top ten list of all time faves, Vince Guaraldi, a hip 60’s jazz beatnik,
was the piano composer for the album, man.

I love Charlie Brown Christmas also and the ALL the music to it. That was always family tradition growing up. Kids watched the program while making popcorn garland, then Mom and Dad hung the ornaments on the tree. Ahhhh! The easy carefree days of Christmas past. Merry Christmas everyone.
