Wednesday Update
Filed Under My Life | 3 Comments
I know it’s hard for all two of you faithful readers of this blog to believe that I am posting two days in a row. Yes, miracles still happen. I think me posting two days in a row ranks right up there with Susan driving all the way to Florida (10 1/2 hours) without taking a potty break. OK, on with the Wednesday update. Tonight’s service was awesome! Susan had been preparing to minister and God totally took her in a different direction. I’m not even going to try and describe it, you’ll have to go to the website and listen if you weren’t there. Really, you have to listen to it. I’m not joking, go to lwrv.org right now. Listen. Be blessed.

Happy Anniversary
Filed Under My Life | 3 Comments
After a little technical difficulty (OK not really a technical difficulty, I just neglected to renew my domain name) I’m back. Today is actually the one year anniversary of the start of this blog. I started with a wordpress hosted blog and moved quickly to another host which gave me much more space to ramble on with this assorted weirdness. I have to give a shout to Scott Hodge who inspired me to start blogging and turned me on to Joey D’s in South Minneapolis. Here’s to another great blogging year!

A Fruitful (and Busy) Day of Ministry
Filed Under My Life | 6 Comments
Another busy but incredibly productive day today. The team ministered in drama at both the Sunday Morning services at the church as well as doing the children’s ministry which was quite a job since the adult service is in one building and the children’s ministry is in another a few blocks away. There was a lot of running (literally running!) back and forth between the two buildings. After I ministered at both regular services Mona ministered at the Persian(Iranian) service which was translated in Farsi. The service started with praise and worship in Farsi, then the dramas by the team, then Mona ministered the word. People then came forward at the end for prayer. The afternoon was originally scheduled to be a time off for some shopping and recreation but the team was so excited about the ministry on the streets yesterday that they wanted to do it again. They met up with some of the young people in the city center to grab something to eat and hit the streets again. I am so impressed with their hearts for ministry, the great teamwork and wonderful attitudes we have seen in the entire team. This evening Susan and I were able to send video greetings live back to the church in Alma through iChat! It was wonderful to be able to share just a taste with everyone back home the great things that are happening here.
Tomorrow is a holiday here so we are taking the day to visit the home, church, and grave of Smith Wigglesworth! The team is really excited. I should be able to have some pictures of that for tomorrow night.

Yeah baby so far I’m batting 1000 in the Blog Challenge. With 2 days under my belt I’m 2 for 2! This is being posted from Pastor Matt and Julie Beemers home (Free WiFi) rather than from my iPhone. So I’ll just pick up where I left off yesterday at the Atlanta airport which just happens to be the worlds busiest airport. One notable thing I in the Terminal E is what I called the “Corn Jet”. Here’s a pic. I wonder if those jet engines burn ethanol.
After leaving Atlanta we had an uneventful flight to Manchester. On the flight I had a chance to snap a photo of one of our joyful missionaries - Cortney Parker. Even after a 9 hour flight she was still smiling!
After arriving in Manchester the team quickly got cleaned up, ate lunch, spent some time in prayer and hit the Manchester City Center where they performed two dramas and spent time ministering. The dramas attracted quite a crown and numerous people were prayed with to receive the Lord. It was an awesome afternoon. I should have some pics tomorrow. After dinner back at the church we jumped in the church minibus to take part of the team back to their host homes. On the way the minibus decided to get a little funky in the brake department. We pulled over and called AA (The English equivalent of AAA) for help. The #1 quality any missionary has to have is flexibility. We all just hung out and had a great time talking and laughing for about 45 minutes until our rides came. Here is another pic of the team gathered around funky bus. You can see it didn’t even phase this team of intrepid missionaries! We got a pumped up group of people here ready to do whatever it takes to accomplish the things that we have been sent to do. We’re looking forward to some awesome services at WHBC tomorrow. See you then!

Blog Challenge
Filed Under My Life | 5 Comments
Since I have been less than consistent lately in posting to my blog I have decided to issue a blog challenge to myself. As some of you know Susan and I are leaving this Friday with 10 people from our church and heading over to Manchester England for a missions trip. We will be working with Matt & Julie Beemer at World Harvest Bible Church and World Harvest Bible Training Center. My blog challenge is to attempt to post something every day while on this trip. So, a post a day from May 2nd through May 10th. Check back and see how I do!
